EDC warrants that all installation work performed by an EDC-certified professional under a written EDC quote shall be free of workmanship defects — including delamination, peeling, and installer error — for a period commencing on the date of substantial completion and continuing per the tier warranty schedule set forth in Schedule A.
If the floor peels, delaminates, or fails because of how it was installed, we fix it. On our dime.
This warranty does not extend to damage caused by (a) movement, settling, or cracking of the underlying concrete substrate; (b) chemical, thermal, or physical exposure exceeding the tolerances documented in EDC-QS-2025; (c) client-directed deviations from the specification; or (d) failure to follow the published maintenance protocol.
We can't cover the slab moving under the floor, chemical/heat abuse beyond spec, or damage from skipping the care protocol.
In the event of a warranty claim, Client shall notify EDC in writing (email sufficient) with dated photographs and a description of the observed defect. EDC shall acknowledge the claim within forty-eight (48) hours and dispatch a certified professional for on-site assessment within fourteen (14) calendar days.
Email us photos. We reply within 48 hours. A certified pro is on-site within 14 days.
Where a workmanship defect is confirmed, remediation shall be performed at no cost to Client, using materials of equivalent or superior specification. Where the claim is deemed outside the scope of this warranty, EDC shall provide a written explanation and, at Client's option, a quote for corrective work.
Real defect: we fix it free with equal-or-better materials. Out of scope: written explanation and an optional quote to fix.
For the duration of the project payment cycle, EDC shall mediate any dispute between Client and installer. Final payment shall be released from escrow only upon Client's written approval of the completed work, verified against the photographic record required by EDC-QS-2025 § 06.
Money stays in escrow until you approve the finished floor in writing.
